61 21 008 Removing and installing (replacing) battery (auxiliary battery)

To ensure the correct safety and convenience functions, install only the original battery (battery size and type) stored in the vehicle order. OBSERVE NOTE ON BATTERY REPLACEMENT .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE

Remove caps (1).

Release screws underneath.

Tightening torque 61 21 7AZ .

Remove tank ventilation line (2) from battery (5).

Release screws (3).

Tightening torque 61 21 8AZ .

Remove retaining bracket (4) and battery (5).

Ensure that the battery (5) is correctly seated.
