61 20 005 Testing battery with battery tester

Check does not apply to F-series!

WARNING: Observe SAFETY INFORMATION on the 12 V battery.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove luggage compartment floor trim panel. See 51 47 101 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR TRIM PANEL .

Procedure:

Turn off ignition and close doors
Connect battery tester directly to battery terminals
Select Battery test and confirm
Enter vehicle identification number
Enter battery data
Carry out battery test
