33 41 151 Replacing left or right wheel bearing on rear axle shaft (M6)

IMPORTANT: Do not damage multi-pole impulse ring.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove REAR WHEEL .

Loosen the collar bolt (1).

For this purpose, press the brake pedal.

Tightening torque 33 41 1AZ .

Installation note:

replace collar bolt (1) and compression spring (2).
- Pay attention to direction of installation of compression spring!
Keep collar bolt and spur gearing of bearing/output shaft clean and free of grease.
Follow installation note of the spur gearing.

Remove BRAKE DISC .

NOTE:

Check brake pads and brake discs and replace if necessary!

Release screws.

Tightening torque 33 41 2AZ .

Remove wheel bearing.

Installation note:

Replace screws.

Installation note:

Keep contact surface (2) of wheel bearing and swivel bearing clean and free from grease; clean as needed.

IMPORTANT: Note on installation must be observed without fail!

Installation note:

Spur gearing of bearing (1) and output shaft (2) must be installed tooth in tooth!
Tighten collar bolt with compression spring by hand.
Check whether spur gearing is locked tooth in tooth by reciprocally rotating wheel hub/output shaft.
Tighten the collar bolt.
Tightening torque 33 41 1AZ .
