17 51 020 Removing And Installing Or Replacing Left Auxiliary Water Pump For Charge Air Cooler (S63 B44 T 0)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Check stored fault message.
Switch off ignition.
Remove FAN COWL .
Drain coolant for charge air cooler.

IMPORTANT: Ensure that no coolant enter into the plug connection of the auxiliary coolant pump.
Check plug connection for coolant residues. If necessary, blow clean plug connection with compressed air.

Release and disconnect coolant hoses (1).

Unlock connector (2) and remove.

Release screw (3).

Pull retaining clip upwards out of bracket.

Feed out and remove auxiliary water pump.

If replacing the coolant pump, convert the retaining clip.

After completing repair work, add COOLANT FOR CHARGE AIR COOLER and bleed system.

Check cooling system for tightness.

Assemble engine.

Read out the fault memory of the DME control unit.

Delete fault memory.
