17 51 020 Removing And Installing Or Replacing Auxiliary Water Pump For Charge Air Cooler, Right (S63 B44 T 0)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Check stored fault message.
Switch off ignition.
Remove FAN COWL .
Drain coolant for charge air cooler.

Release screw (1).

Release holder (2) for auxiliary water pump from module carrier.

IMPORTANT: Ensure that no coolant enter into the plug connection of the auxiliary coolant pump.
Check plug connection for coolant residues. If necessary, blow clean plug connection with compressed air.

Unlock connector (1) and remove.

Release and disconnect coolant hoses (2).

Release screw (3).

Remove auxiliary water pump (4).

After completion of repair work, top up and bleed COOLING SYSTEM FOR CHARGE AIR COOLER .

Check cooling system for tightness.

Assemble engine.

Read out the fault memory of the DME control unit.

Delete fault memory.
