51 16 041 Removing and refitting/replacing protective cap on left or right exterior mirror (with surround view) (to 07/13)

Special tools required:

00 9 317

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove MIRROR GLASS

Release cover cap (2) at catches (1) using suitable tool (3).

Secure cover cap (2) against falling off.

Release catch (1) using special tool 00 9 317 and carefully pull cover cap (2) upwards and remove.

Installation note:

Catches (1) and guides (2) on cover cap (3) must not be damaged.
