54 12 265 Adjusting both drive cables for actuation of glass slide/tilt sunroof

Removing and installing glass slide/tilt sunroof,

refer to 54 12 115 REMOVING AND INSTALLING GLASS SLIDING/TILTING SUNROOF LID .

Remove drive unit with transmission for slide/tilt sunroof actuation,

refer to 67 61 515 REPLACING DRIVE WITH GEAR (FRONT) FOR ACTUATING SLIDE/TILT SUNROOF (PANORAMA GLASS SUNROOF) .

Slide mechanism (1) into zero setting.

Insert special tool 54 3 170 left/right between the guides (1) in the lifting device (2).

Lift front of special tool 54 3 170 (1) slightly and insert in control gate (2) (both drive cables are now secured in their zero setting).

Install drive unit with transmission for slide/tilt sunroof actuation,

refer to 67 61 515 REPLACING DRIVE WITH GEAR (FRONT) FOR ACTUATING SLIDE/TILT SUNROOF (PANORAMA GLASS SUNROOF) .

CAUTION: Remove special tool 54 3 170 left/right (risk of damage).

Check function.
