54 12 015 Replacing left or right rubber gaiters for glass slide/tilt sunroof

Removing and installing glass slide/tilt sunroof cover,

refer to 54 12 115 REMOVING AND INSTALLING GLASS SLIDING/TILTING SUNROOF LID .

Move mechanism into lift position.

Unscrew bolt (1). Turn rubber gaiter (2) inwards and slide support (3) for rubber gaiter backwards.

Slide support (1) for rubber gaiter out of guide (2) and pull forwards to remove.

Only On Replacement :

Pull rubber gaiter (1) out of support (2) (if necessary, fold over the crimped area).

Installation:

Check function of contact pressure roller (3).

Check function.
