51 16 201 Replacing center console

Remove trims for center console, refer to 51 16 220 REPLACING TRIMS FOR CENTER CONSOLE .

Remove rear center console with cup holder, refer to procedure in 51 16 204 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING REAR CUP HOLDER .

Release left/right screws (1).

In addition, release screw (1) on driver's side.

Release left/right screws (1) and remove side sections (2).

Installation: 

Guides (1) and all screw points (2) of side sections (3) must not be damaged.

Release cable holder (1).

Turn and detach plug connections (2).

Release screws (3) and remove holder (4).

Unfasten cable clip (1).

Feed cable (2) out of center console (3).

Release screws (1) and remove armrest (2) from center console (3).

Release screws (2) and remove frame (1).

Remove left/right metal nuts (3) from center console (4).
