51 13 396 Removing and installing/replacing door post cover (outside B-pillar)

Prerequisite:

FRONT SIDE WINDOW correctly adjusted
REAR SIDE WINDOW correctly adjusted

Open both doors.

Raise cover plate (1) in bottom area, unclip hooks (2), and pull out fittings (3) towards bottom.

Release screws (1) on center cover (2).

Tightening torque 51 33 5AZ .

Release cover B-pillar (3) from Dual-Look (4) from bottom, from the bottom feed out clips (1) and guide (2).

Installation note:

Visually inspect parallelism of cover (2) with respect to front and rear door window (1).

Dimensions of cover (2) with respect to door window glass (2):

A = 8 ± 1.3 mm

B= 8 ± 0.8 mm

Measuring point approx. 50 mm beneath roof strip (3).

After adjustment, tighten screw (1).

Apply pressure to lock Dual-Look (4) onto cover (3).

Tighten screw (2).
