41 12 557 Replacing Luggage Compartment Floor, Middle Stripping Operations (Tail Panel Removed)

- Disconnect HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM FROM POWER
- Observe SAFETY INFORMATION for handling hybrid cars
NOTE:
Owing to the different engine variants and equipment specifications, not all the components are taken into consideration.
The following list basically represents the removal sequence.

- Remove exhaust system (job number: 18 00 020)
- Remove heat shield
- Remove high-voltage battery unit (job number: 61 25 010)
- Remove positive battery cable (job number: 61 12 002)
- Remove air supply system (job number: 37 22 540)
Release nuts for sealing flange connection (1).
Remove sealing flange connection (1) with high-voltage cable (2) and set aside.
Installation note:
Make sure gasket is correctly installed. (watertightness).
Replace gasket if necessary.
Replace self-locking nuts.
Tightening torque 41 12 1AZ .
Unscrew nuts.
Remove sealing flange (1) with positive battery cables (2) and set aside.
Installation note:
Make sure gasket is correctly installed. (watertightness).
Replace gasket if necessary.
Replace self-locking nuts.
Tightening torque 41 12 1AZ .
IMPORTANT:
Risk of damage!
Protect high-voltage cable and positive battery cables against mechanical damage.
