24 35 660 Replacing parking lock sensor (GA7AHSCD)

NOTE: Observe SAFETY INFORMATION for handling hybrid cars.

IMPORTANT: After completion of work, check TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL .
Use only approved transmission oil: Dexron VI automatic transmission fluid (GM)
Failure to comply with this instruction will result in serious damage to the transmission.

Recycling:

Catch and dispose of escaping transmission oil.

Comply with country-specific waste disposal regulations.

Release screw (2), drain transmission oil and catch in a suitable collecting vessel.

Tightening torque 24 00 4AZ

Remove transmission oil sump (1) (10 screws).

Installation note:

Renew oil sump gasket

Tightening torque 24 00 10AZ .

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Release screw (1) and remove parking status sensor.

Tightening torque 24 30 2AZ .

Installation note:

Adjust parking status sensor in selector lever position "P":

Air gap [A] = max. 1 mm

If air gap [A] in selector lever position "P" is greater than 1 mm, the sensor must be mechanically treated to reduce the air gap!

Use a file to treat the sensor (see graphic A arrow in Fig 6).

Remove only as much material as is necessary.

Repeatedly insert sensor and check air gap to ascertain whether 1 mm is reached.

Firmly screw in sensor and check air gap again!

Tightening torque 24 30 2AZ.
