51 71 478 Removing and installing/replacing cover on rear left or right wheel arch

Special tools required:

00 2 230

Open rivets (1) (E70: Blind rivets; E71: expanding rivets).

Release cover (2) at clip (3) (not on E71) and remove.

Installation note (E70):

Apply blind rivets (1) with special tool 00 2 230 .

Ensure cover (2) is correctly seated.

Installation note:

Latch mechanisms (1) must not be damaged.

If necessary, replace faulty clips (2) (not on E71).

Fit clips (2) with sealing ring.
