51 71 387 Removing and installing/renewing rear water gutter trim (rear lid) on left or right

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove REAR LID GAS-FILLED STRUTS
If necessary, remove ELECTRIC SPINDLE DRIVE FOR REAR LID

WARNING: Risk of injury!
Support rear lid in fully opened position with suitable apparatus.

NOTE: The operation is described on the left side; proceed in the same way for the right side.

Detach mucket (1) along water gutter (2).

Release clips. short (3) and long (4).

Release expansion rivet (5).

IMPORTANT: If clip mountings are removed during further operations (e.g. painting), always replace these mounting to ensure watertightness.
