17 11 040 Removing and installing/replacing thermostat cartridge (N63)

The following points must be strictly observed prior to starting work:
- DE-ENERGIZE THE HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM
- Observe SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS for handling with hybrid vehicles
IMPORTANT:
Danger of scalding!
Only perform this work after engine has cooled down.
Only perform this work after engine has cooled down.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Follow INSTRUCTIONS FOR WORKING on cooling system
- Drain COOLANT
- Remove FAN COWL
Unlock and detach coolant hose (1).
Unscrew nuts.
Tightening torque 17 22 8AZ .
Remove thermostat cartridge (2).
Installation:
- Clean contact faces.
Reassemble the vehicle.
