17 51 020 Removing and installing or replacing left auxiliary water pump for charge air cooler (N63 hybrid)

High-voltage system - danger to life!
WARNING:
The following points must be strictly observed prior to starting work:
- DE-ENERGIZE THE HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM
- Observe SAFETY INFORMATION for handling with hybrid cars
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Check stored fault message
- Switch off ignition.
- Remove FRONT LEFT WHEEL ARCH COVER (FRONT SECTION)
- Follow instructions for REPAIR WORK ON THE COOLING SYSTEM .
- Drain coolant for charge air cooler.
Clamp off coolant hoses with a suitable tool.
Unlock coolant hose (1) and detach from auxiliary coolant cooler.
Release all screws (2) from holder for auxiliary coolant cooler.
Removing auxiliary coolant cooler (3).
Unclip air duct (1) and remove.
Release and disconnect coolant hoses (1).
Release connector and remove.
Release screw (2).
Remove auxiliary water pump (3).
After completing repair work, add coolant for cooling circuit and coolant for charge air cooler.
Vent COOLING SYSTEM .
Vent COOLING SYSTEM FOR CHARGE AIR COOLER .
Check cooling system for water-tightness.
Assemble engine.
Read out the fault memory of the DME control unit.
Delete fault memory.
