11 34 560 Replacing all valve stem seals (M62, S62)

Cylinder Head Removed

Preliminary tasks are described in disassembly and assembly of cylinder head,

refer to 11 12 503 DISMANTLING AND REASSEMBLING CYLINDER HEAD (M62) .

CAUTION: Do not damage races on bucket tappets. Insert protective film, special tool 11 0 200.

Remove valve stem seal with special tool 11 1 480.

Lubricate valve stem with oil and insert valve. Fit special tool 11 1 960. Coat new valve stem seal (1) with oil and install.

Press-fit valve stem seal firmly home by hand using special tool 11 1 200.

Remove special tool 11 1 960.
