18 40 070 Removing and installing left intermediate pipe (N74)

WARNING: Scalding hazard!

Only perform this work after engine has cooled down.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove CATALYTIC CONVERTER, cylinders 7 - 12

Unscrew nuts (1).

Replace self-locking nuts.

Tightening torque: see 6AZ in 18 31 EXHAUST SYSTEM

Release clamp (2).

If necessary, replace clamp.

Tightening torque: see 7AZ in 18 31 EXHAUST SYSTEM

Feed out intermediate pipe (3) and remove.

NOTE: Renew gaskets (1) and (2).

Reassemble the vehicle.

Check exhaust system for leaks.
