12 14 512 Replacing pulse generator on left exhaust camshaft (N74): Notes

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Read out fault memory of DME control unit; if necessary, work through test schedules
Turn off ignition
Remove left INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING
Remove left bulkhead SOUND INSULATION
Remove left THROTTLE BODY

Unlock plug (1) and remove.

Release screw (2).

Tightening torque: see 2AZ in 13 62 SENDERS FOR CONTROL UNIT

Remove pulse generator (3).
