11 65 180 Removing and installing/renewing heat shield at top (N63)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove both INTAKE FILTER HOUSINGS .
Remove both control sensors. See LEFT CONTROL SENSOR and RIGHT CONTROL SENSOR .

Release screws (1).

Lift out holder.

Release screw (2).

Tightening torque 11 65 3AZ .

Release screw (2).

Release retaining clip (1).

Detach wire ring (2) and set down behind oxygen sensor.

Detach wire ring (2) and set down behind oxygen sensor.

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 11 65 3AZ .

NOTE: For purposes of clarity, the graphic shows the oxygen sensor removed.

Lift out heat shield.
