64 11 858 Replacing actuator drive for right rear cabin footwell flap (High A/C system)

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove lower dashboard trim panel. See TRIM PANEL (US VERSION ONLY) or TRIM PANEL (ECE ONLY) .

Position of actuator drive: 

OVERVIEW OF ACTUATOR DRIVES ON HEATER/AIR CONDITIONER 

Release screws (1).

Installation: 

Replace screws (1).

Take off holder (2).

Unclip connector piece (1) and slide downwards.

Installation: 

Latching of connector piece (1) must be felt.

Release screws (1).

Remove air vent duct (2).

Installation: 

Ensure cable routing along air vent duct (2) is correct

Release screws (1).

Remove servomotor (2) and unlock and disconnect plug connection (3).

Replacement: 

Servomotors must be re-addressed in the event of replacement!

Addressing can only be carried out with the BMW diagnosis system.
