54 12 336 Removing and installing/renewing guide element pair for glass slide/tilt sunroof

Necessary preliminary work: 

NOTE: Initiate manual movements of guide element via the drives using an offset Allen key.

Installation note: 

Release screws (1) on left and right.

Installation note: 

Replace screw (1).

Tightening torque 54 12 4AZ .

Move gate (1) back as shown.

NOTE: Make sure that water channel is pushed back as well.

If necessary, secure the water channel with a cord so that it can be pulled out again later.

Pry out stop (2) toward outside.

Move gate (1) to recess (2).

Hold onto lever (1) firmly.

Move gate (2) until it is in vent position.

Lever control lever (1) out of guide rail and turn.

Remove control lever from guide element.

Grip lid gate (1) at bolt (arrow).

Move drive carriage (2) towards rear until lid gate (1) feeds out of drive carriage (2).

Reposition lid gate (1) and remove from gate.

Installation: 

Attach lid gate (1) to gate and reposition toward back.

Move drive carriage forward while feeding lever (1) into guide (2).

Grip lid gate (1) at bolt (arrow) and move drive carriage (2) to vent position.

Attach control lever to gate.

Fold control lever (1) towards rear and insert in guide rail.

NOTE: Spacer (1) of control lever must lie in guide rail.

Move gate (1) towards rear.

While doing so, press lever (2) down so that it moves into the rail correctly in area (A).

Move gate (1) towards rear until recess for stop (2) is exposed.

Insert stop (2).

Move gate to vent position.

Pull out water channel and tighten screw (1) on left and right.

Parts:  Replace screw (1).

Tightening torque 54 12 4AZ .
