52 25 015 Removing and installing/replacing backrest for left or right rear seat

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Installation: 

NOTE: For purposes of clarity the following operations are shown in the released state.

Detach cover (1) from Velcro-type fastener.

Pull cover (1) upwards out of guide from four-bar lever.

Installation: 

Make sure cover guide is correctly seated on four-bar lever.

Unscrew nuts (1).

Installation: 

Replace nuts (1).

Tightening torque 52 25 4AZ .

Release screw (1).

Installation: 

Replace screw (1).

Tightening torque 52 25 5AZ .

Unscrew nuts (1).

Installation: 

Replace nuts (1).

Tightening torque 52 25 5AZ .

Installation sequence:

IMPORTANT: Observe tightening sequence without fail. See Fig 6.

Raise complete rear seat and set forwards slightly.

Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.

Remove rear seat.
