51 11 050 Removing and installing/renewing carrier for front bumper trim

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Remove impact absorber (1) towards front.

Release screws (2) on brake air duct (1).

Remove brake air duct (1) in direction of arrow.

If ACC optional extra is installed: 

Release screws (3) on ACC sensor bracket (1).

Tightening torque: 66 31 1AZ .

Unfasten plug connection (2) and disconnect.

Remove ACC sensor bracket (1).

Unfasten screws (2).

Tightening torque: 51 11 4AZ .

Unclip wiring harness (4) at marked points.

If necessary, unlock and disconnect plug connections (5) on short-range sensors.

Remove carrier (1) towards front.

Installation: 

Make sure locking sleeve (3) is correctly seated in carrier (1).

Replacement (depending on version):
