51 49 000 Removing and installing or replacing trim for rear lid

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

Open trunk lid.
Remove luggage compartment light in rear lid. Refer to 63 31 080 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT .

Version with manual rear lid unlocking:

Detach handle (1) from clip (2).

Disconnect Bowden cable (3) from handle (1).

Installation:

Guide Bowden cable (3) through clip (2) and connect correctly in handle (1).

Remove screws (1) and (2).

Lever out retaining strap and detach tool kit (3).

Release expansion rivets (1) on left and right.

Remove trim (2).
