51 42 019 Removing and installing/replacing door handle on door trim panel, rear left or right

Necessary Preliminary Tasks: 

• Remove rear door trim panel. Refer to 51 42 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING LEFT OR RIGHT REAR DOOR TRIM PANEL .

Release nuts (1 and 2).

Lever inside handle (1).

1. Out of upper screw fastening points,
2. And pull off upwards from door trim panel (2).

Installation: 

Screws (1) and fixtures of inside handle (2) must not be damaged.

Replacement: 

Feed inside handle (1) in direction of arrow out of decorative strip (2) and remove.

Installation: 

Catches (1) on decorative strip (2) must not be damaged.
