54 37 232 Removing and installing support block

Move roof module into following intermediate station.

Lever out expansion rivets (1).

Remove trim (2) for support block.

Unscrew nuts (1).

Remove support block.

NOTE: Observe following work steps for installing support block:

Observe screwing sequence for support block (4).

Turn banjo bolt (2) back.

Tighten nut (1).

Tightening torque: see 25AZ in 54 37 POWER CONVERTIBLE TOP .

Insert banjo bolt lock (2) until contact is made with body.

Tighten nut (3).

Tightening torque: see 25AZ in 54 37 POWER CONVERTIBLE TOP .

Release screw (1).

Move support element (2) upwards to maximum extent.

Insert screw (1) until contact is made.

It must still be possible to slide the support element (2).

Insert screw (1) until contact is made.

It must still be possible to slide the guide element (2).

Stow roof module.

Storage element (3) adjusts itself to support height.

Guide element (2) slides into correct position.

Extend roof module until support block is accessible.

Tighten screws (1) and (4).

Installation:

Install trim for support block.
