Installation note

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2012 BMW 328xi, 2012 BMW 328i, 2011 BMW 328xi, 2011 BMW 328i, and 2010 BMW 328xi. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

If necessary, reinstall clamps in frame. In the newer versions the clamps are permanently integrated in the frame.

Press net over a wide area into frame.

Lever out center of rotation (1).

Completely lever out center of rotation (1).

Installation note: 

Replace centers of rotation (1). (refer to repair kit in the Electronic Parts Catalogue)

Insert center of rotation (1) in guide rail and clip in.

Make sure wind deflector is correctly seated in center of rotation (1).

IMPORTANT: Tape off paintwork in working area.
Avoid bending wind deflector (1).
Control carriage (4) is under spring tension.

Detach wind deflector (1) out of control carriage (4) in direction of arrow.

Installation note: 

Slide control carriage (4) for wind deflector with plastic wedge forwards and hold in position (spring tension).

Attach wind deflector (1) carefully to rail (3) with guide (2).

IMPORTANT: Slowly move control carriage back into initial position.
Installation note: 
Make sure tensioning elements are correctly seated.
