Necessary preliminary work

Remove GLASS SLIDE/TILT SUNROOF COVER at rear
Lower front glass slide/tilt sunroof cover (open).

NOTE: Follow REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS for bonded gaskets on glass slide/tilt sunroof.

Remove slide/tilt sunroof perimeter gasket from body panel starting from contact edges (peel off).

Installation note:

Clean bonding surface with adhesive remover (sourcing reference: BMW Parts Department).

Press gasket without stretching (squashing).

Stick on gasket in sections.

Establish sealing joint.

IMPORTANT: Do not touch adhesive area.
Surface temperature ≥20°C
Incorrect bonding of the gasket will result in leaks.

After installation:

Completely move glass slide/tilt sunroof cover. ADJUST glass slide/tilt sunroof cover.
