54 10... Removing and installing/replacing water drain channel strainer on left and right

Unclip water drain channel strainer (1) in area (2) and use a suitable tool to lever out of glass slide/tilt sunroof (3).

NOTE: Water drain channel strainer (1) is bonded with window glass adhesive.

Installation note:

Remove window glass adhesive remnants in marked area (1).

Clean water channel and degrease installation area for water drain channel strainer.

Installation note:

Degrease underside of water drain channel strainer (1).

Apply window glass adhesive A = 10 mm.

Installation note:

Correctly position water drain channel strainer (1) above water drain channel before bonding. Align strainer end at the end of water drain channel (2) and support tab (3) as close to the end of guide rail (4) as possible.

Installation note:

After correctly positioning the water drain channel strainer (1), press it down by applying light pressure until it engages.

IMPORTANT:

Ensure that retaining lugs (2) are correctly engaged in guide rail.

Check if excess adhesive emerges. To ensure that water can drain correctly, adhere to the specifications for the maximum amount of window glass adhesive (3).

Before installation of glass slide/tilt sunroof, check water drain hoses for continuity. Clean water drain hoses as required.
