11 72 000 Removing and installing/replacing air pump (N62)

Remove upper section of intake filter housing.

Release retaining screws on coolant expansion tank.

Remove suction filter housing.

Remove raw air housing.

Unlock and disconnect pressure and suction lines (1).

Loosen screws (2).

Loosen screw (3).

Remove front splash guard.

Remove trim panel at bottom right.

Unlock plug (1) and remove.

Unscrew bolt (3)

Remove air pump (2)

Unscrew nuts.

Unclip plug (1).

Remove holder from air pump.

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

Remove front right wheel. Refer to 36 10 300 REMOVING OR INSTALLING FRONT OR REAR WHEEL .
Remove front right wheel arch trim. Refer to 51 71 040 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FRONT LEFT OR RIGHT WHEEL ARCH COVER .

Release nuts (3) from below.

Unlock and detach suction line (1).

Unlock and detach pressure line (3).

Disconnect plug connection (2).

Remove air pump in direction of arrow.

Add final details to vehicle.

Check function of DME.
