Necessary preliminary tasks

Feed out rubber grommet (1) on left/right with cable.

NOTE: This work step must be carried out with a second person assisting.

Slacken nuts (1) on left/right.

If shims (2) are in place, remove them and make a note of their number and positions.

Release nuts (1) on left/right and remove rear window.

Set rear window down on a clean surface.

IMPORTANT: The rear window must not be pulled or lifted by its plugs, wires or foil conductor (risk of damage).

Installation: 

Install rear window (1) and fix in place with nuts (2).

Check GAP DIMENSIONS of rear window.

If necessary, adjust REAR WINDOW .

Tightening torque 51 31 1AZ .
