Necessary preliminary tasks

- Remove airbag unit . See 3234020 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING AIRBAG UNIT or 3234030 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING AIRBAG UNIT (SPORT STEERING WHEEL)
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Release screws (2).
Remove shift paddles for automatic transmission (3) in direction of travel.
Installation:
Make sure electrical leads are correctly routed.
Make sure shift paddles for automatic transmission are correctly seated on steering wheel.
