Necessary preliminary tasks
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2012 BMW 328xi, 2012 BMW 328i, 2011 BMW 328xi, 2011 BMW 328i, and 2010 BMW 328xi. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Remove both TRIM PANELS for roof pillars at rear
- Remove both rear GRAB HANDLES
Version with dividing net mounts (1):
Fold back cover (2) for dividing net mount (1).
Release screw (3) and remove dividing net mount (1).
Installation:
Observe position indications on reverse side of dividing net mount (1).
IMPORTANT:
Do not kink roofliner under any circumstances!
Pull off muckets of rear lid and rear doors in roof area.
Unclip roofliner (1) in middle area downwards and lower.
Installation:
Holder (2) for roofliner (1) must be replaced.
NOTE:
Secure drive for slide/tilt sunroof (3) against falling out.
Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.
Release screws (2).
Remove control unit for slide/tilt sunroof (3).
Installation:
