Necessary preliminary tasks

Remove battery cover or open right luggage compartment trim panel See 5147220 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANEL ON RIGHT SIDE PANEL or 6121... REMOVING AND INSTALLING BATTERY COVER

Loosen nut (1).

Tightening torque 61 21 1AZ .

Disconnect battery negative lead (3) and secure at side.
