65 11 080 Removing and installing/replacing radio receiver

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary tasks 

NOTE: Comply with notes and instructions on HANDLING OPTICAL FIBRES .

Release screws (1).

Pull back radio receiver (2) slightly.

Disconnect associated plug connections and remove radio receiver (2).

Installation: 

Make sure the rear guide pin of the radio receiver (2) is correctly seated in the associated mounting.

For US version only: 

If there is a violet  antenna connection (1) present in addition to  the black antenna connection (2), additional work is required when replacing the radio receiver!

Replacement 

Carry out vehicle programming and encoding.
