3233000 Removing and installing/replacing steering wheel

NOTE: Wheel/chassis alignment is not necessary after the steering wheel has been removed and installed or replaced.

Necessary preliminary tasks

Remove AIRBAG UNIT

Move wheels/steering wheel into straight-ahead position.

Release screw and remove steering wheel.

Installation:

Align steering wheel using marking (1) to steering column and attach.

Make sure connecting lead(s) is/are correctly laid.

Tightening torque 32 33 1AZ .

Replacement

Modify multifunction steering wheel decorative trims/switches See 6131221 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING BOTH MULTIFUNCTION STEERING WHEEL SWITCHES or 3233... REPLACING DECORATIVE TRIMS FOR STEERING WHEEL .
