Necessary preliminary tasks

Remove underbody protection
Remove right heat shield

Release screw (1) and remove grounding strap.

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 23 41 7AZ .

Remove plate (2).

Unclip cable (1) from mounting (2).

Release plug connection (1) from mounting and disconnect.

Detach line (1).

Release bolts (2).

Tightening torque 23 41 7AZ/12AZ .

Remove hydraulic pump.

Installation:

Replace sealing ring.

Moisten sealing ring (1) with Pentosin and push onto tank fitting.

NOTE: After completing work:

Check fluid level in hydraulic system. See 21 53... CHECKING/TOPPING UP FLUID LEVEL IN HYDRAULIC SYSTEM (GS6S37BZ/GS6S53BZ/ SMG)
Perform "Bleed hydraulic system" service function by means of DIS Tester (BMW scan tool)
Perform "Teach in transmission" service function by means of DIS Tester (BMW scan tool)
