After completing work:
Failure to comply with this requirement will result in serious damage to the manual transmission.
- Perform adaptation using DIS Tester (BMW scan tool), refer to Service Functions in DIS Tester (BMW scan tool) (Teach in transmission)
- Check TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL
Use only approved transmission fluid. See MANUAL TRANSMISSION - OPERATING FLUIDS .
- Check fluid level in hydraulic system. See 21 53... CHECKING/TOPPING UP FLUID LEVEL IN HYDRAULIC SYSTEM (GS6S37BZ/GS6S53BZ/ SMG)
- Read out fault memory and clear entered faults
