13 51 630 Replacing fuel pressure regulator (S62)

Switch off ignition.

CAUTION: The fuel in the fuel lines is under pressure (approx. 3 to 5 bar)!

Catch and dispose of escaping fuel.

Remove cover (1).

Release screws on holders of fuel filter.

This lowers the fuel filter (1), enabling access to the fuel pressure regulator.

NOTE: Fuel lines remain connected.

Detach vacuum hose (1).

Remove snap ring (2).

Pull out fuel pressure regulator (3).

NOTE: Catch and dispose of escaping fuel. Note installation position of fuel pressure regulator.

Installation:

Snap lugs of snap ring into place in openings on fuel pressure regulator housing.

Installation:

W (e.g. petroleum jelly) to O-rings of fuel pressure regulator (1).
