52 24 034 Replacing armrest upper part for rear seat backrest

Open center armrest.

Detach cover from adhesive band.

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque: 52 24 3AZ

Release retaining lugs on upper part (1) on left and right with special tool 00 9 317 .

NOTE: Cover rear seat padding to avoid direct contact with special tool 00 9 317 .

Press rear seat padding to one side for better access.

At same time unclip upper part (1) upwards in direction of arrow.

Carefully clip out upper part (1) in stages from rear to front.

Installation note: 

Retaining lugs of upper part (1) must not be damaged.

If necessary, replace upper part (1).

Remove upper part and unlock and disconnect plug connection (1) on underside.
