52 17 202 Removing and installing/replacing lower rear panel on left or right front seat backrest (from production date 07/2012 through model year 2015)

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Remove UPPER REAR PANEL ON FRONT SEAT BACKREST 

Removal: 

Release expanding rivets (1).

1. Pull left rear panel outwards
2. Detach the lock mechanism of the left rear panel backwards
3. Pull right rear panel outwards
4. Detach the lock mechanism of the right rear panel backwards

Pull out rear panel (1) in area (2) downwards from guides (3).

Insert rear panel (1) in area (2) upwards with guides (3).

1. Pull right rear panel outwards
2. Press right rear wall right forward and hold
3. Pull left rear panel outwards
4. Press left rear panel forward, center rear panel

Fasten the expanding rivet (1).
