54 12 497 Removing and installing/replacing wind deflector for glass slide/tilt sunroof (from production date 03/2014): Notes

Special tools required:

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Completely open glass slide/tilt sunroof panel.

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage to surrounding gasket and stopper (2).

Insert special tool 00 9 327 between seal and stopper (2) to protect seal from damage.

Press wind deflector (1) on left and right towards inside to detach stopper (2).

Installation note:

Lift stopper (2) with special tool 00 9 327 over seal.

Insert special tool 00 9 341 between seal and limit position to protect seal from damage.

Press wind deflector (1) towards inside to detach limit position (2).

Fold over wind deflector and remove in upward direction from wind deflector bearing.
