51 12 432 Replacing protective strip for bumper, rear middle

The notes on COMPONENT BONDING WITH DOUBLE-SIDED ADHESIVE TAPE serve as the basis for this repair instruction and must be observed without fail.

Removing:

Heat protective strip (1) with a hot air blower and detach with special tool 00 9 327 from bumper panel (2).

Installation:

Clean bonding surface.

Pull liner* off adhesive tape (1).

Position protective strip over guide (2) in area (3) and stick on.

Press down protective strip with firm thumb pressure over entire bonding surface.

*Liner is the protective film on adhesive tape.
