51 16 160 Removing and installing/replacing center console trim

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage!

Carry out the following operation carefully so as to avoid damage.

Tape off center console trim in work area.

Carefully lever front center armrest trim (1) with special tool 00 9 322 out of center console and remove.

Release screws (1).

IMPORTANT: First tighten screws hand-tight.

Tightening torque 51 16 9AZ .

Carefully lever out center console trim (2) with special tool 00 9 323 .

Disconnect plug connections underneath.

Remove center console trim (2) in direction of arrow.

Installation note: 

If necessary, replace retainers (1).

Make sure center console trim (2) is correctly seated.
