34 41 220 Removing and installing/replacing all parking brake pads

Installation note:

Remove REAR BRAKE DISC
Release electromechanical parking brake (EMF)

After completing repair work: ADJUST PARKING BRAKE .

NOTE: During replacement of the hand brake coverings, the following components must also be replaced:

Brake shoe expander
Adjusting screw
Spring set

Disconnect return springs (1) with brake spring pliers.

Installation note:

Return springs (1) must not be over-elongated.

Check return springs (1) and replace if necessary.

Return springs (1) must not be mixed up.

Pay attention to installation position of adjusting screw (2).

Apply a thin coat of grease to bush and screw threads,

Twist roll pins (1) 90° with special tool 34 4 000 and detach.

Remove brake pads (2).
