54 13 100 Removing And Installing / Replacing Drip Molding

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove complete glass slide/tilt sunroof, refer to 54 13 080 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COMPLETE GLASS SLIDE/TILT SUNROOF
Remove glass slide/tilt sunroof lid at rear, refer to 54 10 175 REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR GLASS SLIDE / TILT SUNROOF COVER
Remove glass slide/tilt sunroof lid at front, refer to 54 10 170 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT GLASS SLIDE/TILT SUNROOF COVER

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage to inner water carrier.

Reposition drip molding (1) and carefully unclip upwards out of carrier (2).

Installation:

Attach spring (3) to drip molding pivot point.

Make sure spring is correctly positioned in drip molding.

Installation:

Observe installation sequence:

Suspend spring in inner water carrier
Press drip molding onto glass slide/tilt sunroof
Clip pivot point (bearing) of drip molding into carrier

Check drip molding for spring tension.
