51 71 412 Removing and installing rear spoiler

Lever out covers (1) on left/right and release screw underneath.

Release screws (2) on left/right and screw (3).

Remove rear spoiler and set down on a clean surface.

Installation:

If necessary, make a note of number of shims on screws (2) and (3) and refit them during installation at same position.

Tighten screw (3) first.

Tightening torque, see 51 71 2AZ in BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Installation:

Threads (1) on rear spoiler (3) must not be damaged.

If necessary, replace faulty tapes (2) (dual-lock tape).
