17 11 100 Removing and installing/replacing coolant expansion tank (M62): Installation:

When installing coolant expansion tank: Insert locating pin (1) into locating bore (2).

NOTE: Tank marking indicates coolant level at approx. 20°C.

Use only BMW coolant.

Slowly top up coolant expansion tank with coolant until maximum fill level is reached (float needle at height of top edge on expansion tank).

Vent cooling system and check for leaks, refer to 17 00 039 VENTING COOLING SYSTEM AND CHECKING FOR LEAKS (M62) .
