11 51 000 Removing and installing/replacing water pump (M62 / S62): Installation

Vent cooling system and check for leaks,
refer to 17 00 005 DRAINING AND TOPPING UP COOLANT .
Remove vibration damper,
refer to 11 23 010 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING VIBRATION DAMPER (M62) .
Remove thermostat housing,
refer to 11 53 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING / REPLACING COOLANT THERMOSTAT (M62) .
- Remove pulley.
- Remove coolant hose.
- Unfasten screws.
- Remove water pump.
Make sure that sleeves are correctly seated.
Clean sealing faces.
Replace seal.
